Democracy Fellows
Spring/Summer 2026
Democracy Summer is a national program founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin that equips high school and college students with the tools and experience to become effective civic leaders and organizers. The program combines online seminars with expert speakers, including historians, legal scholars, and elected officials, with hands-on training in voter registration, canvassing, and digital organizing.
Since its launch in 2006, the initiative has expanded to partner with dozens of Democratic campaigns across the country. In 2024 alone, more than 110 House campaigns participated.
Fellows commit to approximately 15 to 20 hours per week over six weeks, splitting their time between virtual seminars and in-person campaign work.
